Some of James Patterson"s best ever. Amazing, exciting, and hard to put down. There were more twists in this book than I care to count. The author definitely did his research, and the ending was more surprising than I could ever have imagined. I highly recommend this book, excellent reading!!!

Never a dull minute as in almost all other books I read. I just wish he would put them on sale every now and then so I could afford to read ALL of his awesome books. Patterson is by far my favorite author!

A very powerful message and book. Very hard to put down. Amazing writer as always. I thoroughly loved it. I was curious with the new turn his writing was taking how it would go but it was beautifully done.

Well, aside from the ending (which was just odd and felt incredibly rushed), I really liked this book! I'm not a religious person (in fact, I usually avoid ALL religious crap), but I didn't feel like this book was jamming it down my throat.The story was told at a great pace and the writing was good! I found myself being disappointed whenever I had to put this down and really excited to pick it back up. Which virgin would bear the child of Satan, and which would bear the Savior?As I said, the ending was a bit out of place and rushed when compared to the rest of the novel, and there was a bizarre 'Prologue' at the end of the book that COMPLETELY confused me. I still have no idea what purpose it served as (at least to me) it had nothing to do with the book. In fact, I thought it was a preview of another James Patterson book (you know how authors will sometimes include a few chapters of another book at the end of one?) but it wasn't. Very strange.Anyway, overall it was a good story and it kept me coming back...maybe more of a 3 1/2 star book, but I'll round up.

I almost gave up reading this book. The beginning is interesting enough, but then Patterson gets boring. Later in the book I ended up struggling because of the perspective jump between 1st and 3rd person. I'm glad I kept with it simply because the ending is amazing. If there's another book following this one though, I think I might pass on it.

A fantasy today, but who knows what could happen in the next 50 years. The book is getting worn out from reading several times, and loaning to others. Don't want to give away the plot, but wouldn't one's greatest fantasy (other that winning the lottery) to be able to fly? I never lost my interest each time I read it.

This is a complicated religious story. It is quite unbelievable. It has a Satan and a Savior. More than one Savior is hard to believe.

Patterson has once again drawn me in to each event, each page. I never stopped reading til the answers were clear. I can't wait to begin the next book, but must get some sleep. Still feel a pull to know truth for sure. As always, John Patterson has gotten my brain into another place and kept me thinking.

The A/C series was better than the other test prep guides but not by much.I'm going to write the same review for all three of the ASE Test Prep guides I purchased.To be honest, I'm not very impressed. I'm used to the study guides for the FAA flight tests which are generally excellent from everyone. These had typos in the questions. One question even said to refer to a diagram which they forgot to print! I also found several mistakes in their subject matter in the study section.I think they are an aid and do help with the preparation but they publisher could have done a much better job especially for the price.

When I staarted using the third edition of these study guides, my success rate improved on the ASE test. The fourth seems to be a more up to date version than the third.

He took it and glanced at it. next thing I know, he was reading part of it every night. He loves it. I am going to get one of the other books for him. If you have any one interested in facts or trivia these books would be great for them.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. He loves learning random bits of trivia and has loved sharing interesting facts from this book with his family.

There’s not much I can add to my reviews of the two previous books of similar ilk produced by the same group that produces QI, the very entertaining British “quiz” show. These facts are, indeed, quite often quite interesting. I constantly find myself reading parts of it aloud to my family. We are always happy to see a new volume.

Love reading the 'facts' and it is fun to drop one of the facts in conversations and watch the reactions. With so many you can always find some that really interest you.

Just lost a couple of hours I can't get back. This book is essentially a few brief lines on a mostly blank page. It's written on a 2nd-3rd grade reading comprehension level.

I have used AutoCAD for years and was hoping to learn some new tricks and short cuts. I found a few but not what I had hoped for. A beginner would probably find it useful.

I have been struggling with ACad for the little extra instructions needed to make my work easier and more complete

I admit; I am a dummy when it comes to computers and anything that explains computers in plain simple language is welcome.

Haven't had much time to read it.

Whilst I am still reading through this book I find the 3D coverage limited, a little more detail in this area would be an improvement.

I learned alot

In my pursuit to learn AutoCAD as quickly as I can, I have purchased the three main tutorial books for AutoCAD 2004.While AutoCAD 2004 for Dummies by Mark Middlebrook is the most basic of the three (Duh... it's for dummies) it still covers much of the important material in a manner that a complete newbie could probably understand a specific instruction or chapter.The way Mr. Middlebrook approaches AutoCAD though is pretty tough to comprehend. That is, he spends the entire book discussing various commands and how to approach a drawing, but never walks you through a project.I found David Frey's book AutoCAD 2004 and AutoCAD LT 2004 a much better instructional book and while only slightly more techie he manages to walk you through a project that lets you truly understand what he's trying to teach you.My biggest gripe with AutoCAD 2004 for Dummies is the incredible amount of typos! Gawd! I am a high school teacher and this guy would fail an essay that I assign at the high school level. What in the world is he doing writing a book if he can't spell or proofread? Either he or his editor should go back to English class. I see that Mr. Middlebrook himself has weighed in on this. Just so he knows, I'm looking at the fourth printing (I think... The information page says 10 9 8 7 6 5 4. Does that mean it's on the third or fourth printing? I'm not a librarian!) I only mention this because he says he's only found 5 mistakes. I've found at least a dozen pretty obvious ones, and a many, many minor ones.The single most grievous mistake is on pages 100 and 101, Chapter 5, table 5-1. It is supposed to be a table of various tools you can use to draw objects. Other than the first one, each icon is incorrectly matched with a description! For example, he shows the "copy" tool icon, but then calls it a SPLine and gives the description for a SPLine. I count eight errors in that table alone. If you are truly a newbie to AutoCAD then you might never get it sorted out. This mistake alone merits not purchasing the book or asking of your money back because it's an example of how a "typo" can be critically damaging. No, I am not an English teacher, nor am I overly zealotous toward proofreading. I just wish he, and his editor, would learn to proofread. That, or hire me to proofread for you! I'm as literate as your editor, computer savvy, and experienced. Look me up.The Dummies series could really learn from the mistakes made here. I'm done with the Dummies series. There are much better resources out there, at least on the topics that I'm interested in. They've lost my purchases. Good luck though!

One of Morocco's most abundant resources is phosphate, an export. Other exports include fish, vegetables and fruits such as tangerines.Morocco is home to a rare tree named the argan. Goats are fans of their leaves and actually "climb up the trunk" of the argan and "stand on the tree branches to eat their tasty snack." You'll see an amazing photograph of these very unusual goats. Morocco is also home to two ethnic groups, the Berber people and the Arabs. Most people in the country are "Muslims and follow the Islamic faith." Moroccans speak Arabic in the darija style, but some still speak Berber languages. Mohammed VI is a king who is the country's leader who wants the best for his people and thinks "that women should be educated and have jobs outside the home if they want." Margaret L. JONES, AFRICAN AMERICAN ART COLLECTOR; and ON LAND AND ON SEA: A CENTURY OF WOMEN IN THE ROSENFELD COLLECTION. She is a member of the National Advisory Board for Stanford University's Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, the Past Vice President of the American Sociological Association, and Past President of the Eastern Sociological Society, from which she received the ESS Merit Award. I rented this book for my Intro to Sociology class. $20 to use a book for a semester? Sweet. The articles in this text are wonderful and insightful, but some girl wrote dumb commentary all over the damn book. There is writing in about a quarter of the book in black ink with huge handwriting. Here are just some of her thought provoking words: "doesn't really make sense," "I'm going to a hospital, thanks," "isn't social security like dead?" and "a girl that seeks attention won't attrack a holesome guy. simple." Aside from the commentary, this is an amazing textbook filled with interesting articles and information.

I just got this book today in the mail and the package had been recieved at a facility as opened, and when I got the package and opened it up the book started falling apart. It smells like someone had accidentally dumped an entire bottle of purfume on the book. the first few pages are starting to fall out and the spine of the book is coming off the pages..

This didn't really keep my attention in class. Which made it very difficult to get good grades in my online class. The small articles didn't really match the class in my opinion, but it was required.

My son is using this book right now, great thing to do, rent it

I know it's a used book but geeesh! The book cover is 2 uses away from falling apart. Won't complain too much because I did get it at a decent price . . .

It gave me the 4th edition instead of the 5th edition that was shown.

Note that this new 2017 edition is from a different source; it is a G.M. Johnson product, and not a Map Source product as was the previous edition. (The excerpt on the map's cover is still from the old map and is thus incorrect.) Is the new map better? I'd say that it's a wash.

Map seemed fine - ripped, however, when I unfolded it along the seam. I was hoping it would be a little tougher.
