The cover and some of the anti smoking ads indicate a target audience of elementary school students but the text is definitely geared toward grades 7-12. This a shame since most smokers start by the age of 13.Because there are so few children's books on smoking, I would suggest that parents of grades 5-6 buy this book and paraphrase and explain the text.
